Biography
Bob King is an alumnus of the Engineering Psychology program at Georgia Tech where he earned his graduate degrees, and witnessed the beginning of GVU and the HCI graduate programs at Georgia Tech. Bob has worked at a variety of companies in Atlanta doing human factors work. At Delta Air Lines Bob designed and developed some portions of the early delta.com website and on worked numerous internal and external applications. At SA Technologies gathered user requirements from the warfighter, created task analyses, and designed portions of an integrated user interface for the US Army’s Future Combat System project. Bob worked in the Human Factors department of AT&T Labs where he works with improving usability in a wide variety of new products including mobile phones, mobile applications, web portals, and TV applications. Bob King is a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, serving as an officer on the Communications and Perception and Performance Technical groups, and past President of HFES-Atlanta.
